The Chilly Challenge and the Chili Challenge...what's the difference??

CHILLY CHALLENGE 8K

An 8K race and 1-mile chili chase fun run taking place at North Buncombe Middle School in February, typically a cold, or "chilly" time of year.

Awards are given to top placing runners. There are also several team awards.

A chili-cooking contest held on the same day as the Chilly Challenge.  Also:  A play on words with the word "chilly". :)  We all know that chili is best when it's chilly!

Awards are given for 1st place chili selected by panel of judges & the People's Choice Chili Champ.

First, the race (chilly!) ...    then the  lunch (chili!).  
Our Chilly Challenge has something for everyone  ...

Race registration includes a ticket to taste all the chilis after the race. 

A vegetarian/vegan option is available!
